The Text home feature block allows your key messaging to take center stage on your site. It is designed for homepage use (no sidebar) and in the case of this tutorial, you can see why using it on child pages is not recommended.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The sidebar navigation that comes with child pages<\/a> compresses the text home feature block. The spacing between elements becomes cumbersome along the left and right side and takes away from the desired impact of the site’s message.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The block has three components:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. the hero text<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. the lead in text<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. the button<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    How to edit the hero text<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    Once in the Page Editor,<\/a> click anywhere in the hero text area to edit. To add\/remove underlines in the hero text block, highlight the text and press CTRL+U<\/strong>. Note that bold text cannot be used in this area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    You can change the background color of this block in the Page Editor. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The large background accent text cannot be edited. It will match the headline and is added automatically.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    How to edit the lead in text<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    Once in the Page Editor, click anywhere in the lead in text area to edit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    How to edit the optional call to action link <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    The call to action link is optional.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    To edit the call to action<\/strong> below the lead in text, navigate to the right sidebar in the Page Editor and type your edits in the field labeled Link Text.<\/strong> To edit the destination URL for the link, paste it in the field labeled Link URL<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
