The purpose of this block is to display a list or grid of posts from one or more categories.

The list/grid display on a page will update automatically when a new post is added to the category/taxonomy designated in the block settings.

How to add a Latest posts block

  1. Navigate to the area of the page where you want to display the latest posts.
  2. Click on the Add block icon [+] and select/search for Latest Posts from the menu.
  3. In the right sidebar, make the appropriate display selections:
    • List or grid view
      • Number of columns (grid view only)
    • Number of items (up to 12; displays load more based on these number of items IF load more toggle is ON)
    • Show/hide:
      • Featured image*
      • Category (only the primary category will show if selected and an item has more than one category)
      • Date
      • Excerpt
      • Publication
      • Load more
    • Set query settings to order by:
      • Newest to oldest
      • Oldest to newest
      • A – Z
      • Z – A
    • Categories (or other taxonomy)

*Note on featured images when grid view and show featured image is on: If an item has no image or the image is too small, the gray shield image will display.
