An announcement is a public statement with the purpose of informing the site’s audience about something timely and specific.

How to add an Announcement

  1. Navigate to the Announcement section of the dashboard.
  2. Select Add New.
  3. Fill out the fields in the Announcement Editor.
  4. Click Publish in the right sidebar.

Announcement Fields

Title

Use this field for the “headline” of the announcement.

Date

The date displayed defaults to the date the announcement is added to the site. If that date is different from its original publish date, edit the date to match the publication date.

External Source

Add the name of the publication; for example:

  • The Source
  • The New York Times
  • St. Louis Post-Dispatch

External URL

Add the full link of the original story.
