The People block allows individual or groups of people to be displayed once a record has been created for that Person or groups of Persons.
How to add the People block
- Click on the place on the page where you want to block to appear.
- When the Add block icon appears (+ in a box), search for and select People.
- Every Person in the site will automatically display. To display certain people, navigate to the right sidebar and use the options below Query settings.
- Order by – Select the way you would like the list of People to be sorted using the options of Priority sort, Newest to oldest, Oldest to newest, alphabetically from A – Z, and alphabetically from Z – A.
- Categories – Select which People Categories you want the list to show or multi-select them by holding Command on your keyboard. You will need to create People Categories if you have not already.
- Limit Number of Posts – Use this slider to determine the number of posts that show in the list. This allows some space to be freed up in the page layout if you’d like to show less than 12 people.
- To choose what information is displayed on the cards for all of the People shown, use the options below Display settings.
- Display the category – Toggle on/off this option if you want the name of the category to be displayed in the people cards.
- Display the load more button – Toggle on/off this option if you would like users to be able to load more people cards onto the page and view them.
- Include Link in Cards? – Toggle on/off this option if you want the title of the Person to be clickable. This will cause an icon to appear next to their name and enable users to navigate directly to a specific URL, such as someone’s bio page on a different site.
