Formidable Forms is a popular plugin for creating forms. Explore Formidable’s features and customize your forms to fit your specific needs. This is a basic guide to help you get started:
Create a New Form
- Navigate to “Formidable > Forms” in your dashboard.
- Click “Add New” at the top.
- Choose “Create a blank form” if you want to build from scratch, or pick a prebuilt template for faster creation.
- Give your form a name and click “Create.”
Build Your Form
- On the left, you’ll see various form field options.
- Use the drag-and-drop builder to add form fields, such as name, email, text fields, checkboxes, radio buttons, etc.
- Drag and drop the desired fields onto your form on the right.
- Click on each field to customize its label, placeholder text, validation rules, etc.
Configure Additional Settings
- Click on the “Settings” tab at the top.
- In the “Actions & Notifications” tab, you can set up actions to be taken after the form is submitted, like sending an email notification or redirecting to a specific page.
- Explore these options to personalize your form’s behavior.
Save and Publish Your Form
- Click the “Save” button at the top to save your progress.
- When you’re ready, click “Publish” to make the form ready to be live on your website.
Add Your Form to a Page or Post
- Go to the page or post where you want to display the form.
- Edit the content and click the “+” icon to add a block.
- Search for “Formidable” and select the block.
- Choose your created form from the dropdown menu.
- Update your page/post and preview it to see your live form.
Test Your Form
- Preview Your Page/Post: Preview your page or post to see the Formidable Form in action.
- Submit Test Entries: Fill out the form and submit some test entries to ensure everything is working correctly.
