Student Affairs unit web admins have a dedicated documentation site to help them maintain their content.

As part of the Student Affairs MarComm team, you may need to edit the unit guide to provide additional clarification and support to the unit admins.

There are two types of pages in the guide: linked pages and local pages. Only local pages are editable.

Both types of pages follow WordPress page conventions, i.e., they can be organized in parent-child page relationships. If there is a logical place for additional pages to live within the existing site structure, you can designate one of the current landing pages as its parent. For example, the content may be considered a Best Practice or Guideline. If it is related to a specific block, make it a child of that block. Or if it is related to a content type, make it a child of that content type.

You also have the option of adding a new landing page, if that is warranted. We still advise against creating an FAQ page. It will likely become a “junk drawer” that will create a lot more work for your future selves.
