Within the Photo Home Feature block,<\/a> the image<\/strong> and headline<\/strong> work together to send a clear message to site visitors about the purpose of this website and WashU’s mission in St. Louis. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Introductory paragraph and button<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The paragraph block <\/strong>below the photo home feature is styled in the Lead style<\/strong> and captures the purpose of the site. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

To edit the red call to action<\/strong>, refer to the Button block tutorial<\/a>. This is styled in the text with arrow style<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our commitment<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The purpose of this block is to highlight the three commitments WashU is focused on for the St. Louis region. At launch, this area uses heading block<\/strong>, followed by the column block<\/strong> in 33\/33\/33 ratio so that one column holds the name and brief description of each commitment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finally, the section ends with a button block<\/strong> styled in the text with arrow style.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anthem video<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The anthem video is displayed on the page using a Youtube block<\/strong> to embed the video player. This can be changed by altering the URL within the block. Below the video is a paragraph block<\/strong> of text to give context to the video as well as a button block<\/strong> with the text with arrow style that leads to the About page for users to learn more. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Featured initiative<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The featured initiative section uses the wide media spotlight block<\/strong> to elevate one of the initiatives on the site. The information is updated manually.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our regional impact<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

This section uses By the Number blocks<\/strong> in columns<\/strong> to highlight statistics about WashU’s impact on the region. These can be edited by updating the numbers and text as new data becomes available. The section ends with a button styled as text with arrow<\/strong> that connects to the “Our Impact” page. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Stay in touch callout<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

This section uses the Callout block<\/strong> to help users sign up for the St. Louis Initiatives team newsletter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Community events<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

This section uses to Group block <\/strong>to group several blocks. Within the group, there is an H2 header<\/strong> for the section. Below is a column block with a 66\/33 ratio<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

A second header (h6) labels<\/strong> the Upcoming events section on the left. The Events list block <\/strong>is below that. This section ends with a button block as text with arrow<\/strong> that is right justified to view all events. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the right (33) column, a square photo spotlight block<\/strong> acts as a call to action for users to submit their event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Use this section to feature the latest news. It is set off with the section heading with link block<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This section uses the Clips block<\/strong> to automatically display the latest 2-3 highlights published on the site. For more details, consult the Clip block tutorial<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Quote from Chancellor Martin<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

This section uses a column block in 50\/50 ratio<\/strong>. In the left column is an image block<\/strong> with a picture of the chancellor and in the right is the quote block<\/strong>.
