Tabs are a way to group and filter content on the same page. Only content in the active tab is displayed so it’s also a way to prevent a page from getting too long.

This will only appear if the tab #1 is clicked

Auxiliary Navigation

The WordPress system allows for three levels of nested pages in its side navigation menu. If your site requires yet another sublevel of content, tabs provide users with a way to navigate to that content from directly on the page.

How to add tabs

  1. Navigate to the place on the page you want to insert the tab.
  2. Click on the Add Block [+] icon and select/search for Tabs from the menu.
  3. Click the Add Tab [+] icon that appears.
  4. Type in a title in the Tab Title area.
  5. Add content you want to appear when that tab is active.

Content blocks

In addition to paragraphs, most content blocks can be used with tabs, like:

  • headings
  • images
  • columns
  • lists

To add blocks inside a tab, click the Add Block [+] icon when your cursor is inside the tab area and select/search for the block you want to use.
